Chris has worked in numerous schools across East Cheshire for nearly thirty years. He has taught pupils from 5 to 75 years in jazz, rock and world music.

His students have gone on to achieve outstanding success in the music business, including Matt Healy of The 1975.

Real preparation for playing in a band

"Although it's important to practise your drumming skills, you don't usually get to apply them musically until you find a group of musicians to jam with, and then it's like being thrown in at the deep end!"

Chris helps you to integrate your natural musicianship by first teaching you the rhythms and patterns, and then accompanying you with a suitable style on the guitar or piano. He gives you the freedom to play around with the new rhythms until you are comfortable with them.
